Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Manager, Surgical Programs and Initiatives to lead policy and program development for surgical services in Edmonton or Calgary. This position resides in the Ministry of Hospitals & Surgical Health Services under the Acute Care Division, Cancer and Surgical Services Branch.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A university graduation in a field related to the position assignment (Business Administration, Public Administration and Health Administration), supplemented by four (4) years related experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

Required:

  • Experience in policy management and/or project management.

Asset:

  • Knowledge of health care system, acute care, surgical system etc.

  • One (1) permanent positions available.
  • 36.25 hours per week
  • Location: 10020 100 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 0N5 or 10333 Southport Road SW, Southland Park II Building, Calgary, Alberta, T2W 3X6
  • Final candidates will be required to undergo a criminal records check (CRC).
  • Shift Work: Monday through Friday from 8:15AM to 4:30PM
