Job summary

Reitmans (Canada) Limited is seeking a procurement leader to develop category strategies and drive end-to-end sourcing for indirect spend. You will manage supplier negotiations, contract development, and ESG-aligned decisions while partnering with Finance on budgeting and cost control.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, strong communication, and a proactive push to realize savings and value across our brands.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management or a related commercial field.
• Proven track record leading end-to-end sourcing for indirect spend categories.
• Strong skills in competitive sourcing, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation and contract development.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and build trust without formal authority.
• Strong business acumen, with an understanding of cost drivers and supplier economics.
• A highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented approach, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, juggling priorities and navigating ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, performance and contract compliance for critical suppliers.
• Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting and cost management.
• Maintain your sourcing pipeline, track results and report on realized savings and value.
• Integrate ESG considerations into sourcing strategies and supplier decisions.
• Coach stakeholders on procurement best practices and help evolve our sourcing tools and processes.
