This role executes sourcing strategies for Private Brand items to maximize margins and profitable sales across various departments.
This role collaborates with product teams to identify appropriate categories for RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, presenting options and recommendations to the business. Efforts focus on diversifying supplies from various sources and negotiating products based on approved specifications.
Supplier communication management is key, ensuring thorough understanding of brand standards for all suppliers. The role also develops and executes plans aimed at driving savings and mitigating costs, defining buying timelines, and coordinating with supply chain and category managers.
Maintaining and strengthening vendor relations through regular communications is essential. This role may also involve attending trade shows to foster relationships. Strong working relationships with internal teams are vital to ensure effective collaboration and representation of recommendations. The role also manages vendor transitions to minimize product availability risks.
