PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Manager, Signals & Communications Operations in Scarborough, ON, you’ll lead field teams supporting the safety, reliability, and performance of critical rail systems across Eastern Ontario. In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll oversee daily operations, maintenance and outage response, resource planning, compliance, and continuous improvement while working closely with Operations, Engineering, and frontline teams to keep trains moving safely and efficiently.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma
  • 2+years of railroad industry experience in Signals & Communications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to after hours emergencies
  • Ability to meet all safety critical medical and drug testing requirements as applicable

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
