Job summary

MasterHill Talent is seeking an experienced life actuarial professional to lead experience studies, development of assumptions, and actuarial research across life insurance and reinsurance portfolios.

The role supports pricing, product development, valuation, and in-force management. You will combine strong actuarial judgement with data-driven analysis and influence senior stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Actuarial experience in life insurance, reinsurance or consulting.
• Experience studies and pricing or valuation exposure.
• Knowledge of mortality, longevity, morbidity impacts.
• Strong analytical skills and actuarial judgement.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Fellowship-level qualification or progress toward it.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, Tableau is a plus.
• People-management or mentoring experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

An opportunity is available for an experienced life actuarial professional to take a leading role across experience studies, assumption development and actuarial research.

The position will provide broad exposure across life insurance and reinsurance portfolios, supporting key decisions in pricing, product development, valuation and in-force management. The successful candidate will combine strong actuarial judgement with data-driven analysis and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mortality, morbidity, longevity and lapse experience studies

Desired Experience

• Strong analytical and actuarial judgement
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and influence senior stakeholders
• Fellowship-level actuarial qualification or strong progress toward qualification
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, Tableau or other analytical tools would be an asset
• Previous people-management or mentoring experience would be beneficial
