Job summary

Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is seeking a Manager, Sales (Client Manager) - Temporary up to 24 months with MPAC. You will lead sales operations, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth across Ontario with public and private sector clients.

You will develop strategic sales plans, coach a high-performing team, collaborate with internal and external partners, and ensure exceptional client service while supporting MPAC's equity and inclusion values.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive consultative sales and account management experience including leading teams, projects or sales initiatives.
  • Knowledge of commercial products, pricing strategies, client relationship management and business operations relevant to the commercial portfolio.
  • Proven track record of sales success in enterprise, B2B, government and/or public sector markets.
  • Demonstrated service-focused operational leadership and ability to motivate teams to achieve sales and customer service objectives.
  • Strong communication skills with experience preparing presentations, reports, analysis and briefing materials.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills to support license agreements and contract/service agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff while supporting business development activities.
  • Proven project management, problem-solving and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft/IT and Apple applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans, monitor performance metrics, and manage pipelines and forecasts.
  • Build strategic client relationships from engagement through contract execution, renewals, and ongoing account management.
  • Identify market opportunities, client needs, and industry trends to support commercial strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client solutions and enhance products and services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on service excellence.
  • Support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and business case development.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements and legislation.

You are a consultative Sales Leader/Client Manager who builds strong client relationships and delivers results through strategic business development and account management. You have experience working with both public and private sector clients enabling you to understand diverse stakeholder needs, navigate complex environments, and deliver tailored, value-driven solutions. You bring experience leading sales teams, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve revenue objectives while providing exceptional client service.

You have:
  • Completion of post-secondary (college or university) education in Business Administration/Commerce (or equivalent) or completion of a certificate program/accreditation in Real Property Assessment is required
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive consultative sales and account management experience including experience leading teams, projects or sales initiatives, in a related industry
  • Knowledge of commercial products, pricing strategies, client relationship management and business operations relevant to the specific commercial portfolio to be managed
  • Proven track record of sales success in enterprise, business-to-business (B2B), government and/or public sector markets, with demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex client relationships
  • Demonstrated service-focused operational leadership and ability to motivate teams to achieve sales and customer service objectives
  • Strong communication skills with experience preparing presentations, reports, analysis, briefing materials, and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
  • Negotiation and influencing skills to support license agreements and contract/service agreement negotiations

  • Proven project management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency using Microsoft/IT applications and Apple applications and software

  • Working knowledge of the legislative framework governing MPAC's commercial products and services, including applicable privacy and marketing requirements
