Job summary

The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) seeks a Manager, Research and Policy to lead the day-to-day operations of the Research & Policy function at our National Office in Ottawa.

The role reports to the Director, Public Affairs, Member Services & Communications and manages a multidisciplinary team of research professionals focused on policy, bargaining research, data insights and analytical reporting to support our members and bargaining priorities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in economics, public policy, political science, or labour studies.
• More than seven years of progressive research or policy experience.
• Three years of direct people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Research & Policy function.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team of research and economic professionals.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on public policy and labour relations.
• Oversee production of research reports, policy papers and data analyses.
• Coordinate research activities across the Institute to support bargaining and policy priorities.
