Job Description:

Team Overview

The Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) department aims to inspire and connect our customers, communities and colleagues through communications, conversations and advocacy that enrich lives, deliver business outcomes, and enhance our brand. We deliver best-in-class external and internal communications to help differentiate TD in the market and elevate our brand.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in CAPA's Communications Technology team, they will be responsible for advancing our capabilities in media monitoring, developing earned media reporting and dashboards, and delivering actionable insights that strengthen our understanding of media coverage. They will play an instrumental role in enhancing analytics across our web and social media channels to support external and internal communications that differentiate our brand and tell our story.

The successful candidate will:

  • Create integrated reports and dashboards that track performance across earned, owned and paid channels, providing a unified view of Public Relations initiatives.
  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards to monitor emerging media narratives, sentiment and key topics, supporting proactive media response.
  • Measure the corporate messaging impact among key audiences, using qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Provide regular, ad hoc and roll-up reporting on performance analytics across web, earned media and social media channels.
  • Develop and standardize guidelines, processes, and templates for capturing and reporting campaign outcomes across the department, ensuring consistency in both metrics tracked and measurement methods.
  • Design and implement self-serve reporting tools and automated processes including interactive dashboards for web analytics and earned media monitoring.
  • Establish and measure against department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess overall communications performance.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making through learning opportunities, implementing governance where applicable.


What you bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, agency environment, or comparable communications experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, marketing or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.
  • Strong understanding of the media and finance landscape, with the ability to track and analyze trends across earned, owned and social channels.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools such as Meltwater, Factiva, Cision, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar.
  • Experience in developing and implementing measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
  • Ability to conduct competitive analysis and industry benchmarking to inform media strategies.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to deliver data-driven storytelling and visualizations that identify trends and offer insights.
  • Proven self-starter with a track record of independently standing up new programs, processes, or measurement frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of digital channels, including branded blog content and social media, with a pulse on online conversations and trends.
  • Familiarity with SEO, SEM and social media analytics.
