Job summary

DMCL LLP in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Audit Manager for public company engagements. You will lead audits from planning through completion, working closely with Partners and senior leadership to exercise professional judgment and manage engagements with a high degree of independence.

You will serve diverse clients across mining, technology, health sciences, manufacturing, and more, with ownership and accountability emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive public practice experience, including supervisory or management responsibility.
• Strong technical knowledge of Canadian public company audits and related standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements with minimal oversight.
• Strong professional judgment and decision-making capability.
• Clear and effective communication skills with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead public company audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage relationships professionally.
• Review and direct the work of seniors, supervisors, and staff accountants.
• Resolve complex accounting and auditing matters in accordance with CAS, IFRS, and ASPE.
• Prepare and manage engagement budgets and monitor recoveries.
• Collaborate directly with Partners on technical matters, engagement risks, and client strategy.
• Identify opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and enhance client service.

• Pay or shift range: $95,000 CAD to $125,000 CAD We're committed to fair and transparent pay. The salary for this role is based on a 35-hour work week, which is standard at DMCL. This work week is up to 14% shorter than some comparable positions with other organizations. Ask us more about working extra hours if you are interested in enhancing your compensation. About the role

This role is intended for an experienced public company audit Manager who is looking for clear compensation practices, meaningful autonomy, and the authority to lead engagements effectively.

At DMCL, Managers are responsible for leading audit engagements from planning through completion. You will work directly with Partners and senior leadership, exercise professional judgment, and manage engagements with a high degree of independence, within established firm policies and professional standards.

Our Public Company Audit group serves clients across mining, technology, health sciences, manufacturing, agriculture, and other growth-oriented industries. You will not be limited to a single sector or repetitive engagements. The expectation is ownership, accountability, and sound professional judgment.
