Qualifications

Position: Manager, Program Delivery

Rogers is seeking a Manager, Program Delivery, to join our IT department (public and private cloud, Operational Support Systems, and Service Management), reporting to the Sr. Director of Portfolio Management & Program Delivery. We are looking for a high-achieving individual to lead a team of project-focused members to the successful delivery of key strategic programs, focusing on business outcomes.

The primary focus of this position is to manage the planning and execution of IT Programs and Projects while building a cohesive delivery team. You will ensure stakeholders are well-informed of project status and issues and proactively work to resolve risks.

What you will be doing:
  1. Manage the implementation planning, execution, and closure of technology programs/projects involving new products, services, and capabilities.
  2. Identify and govern scope, deliverables, and interdependencies to meet objectives and KPIs.
  3. Define program communication plans to align all stakeholders and project resources; lead sessions to inform and drive conclusions on progress, blockers, financials, issues, risks, and containment plans.
  4. Build relationships with stakeholders, collaborate on plans, and manage expectations.
  5. Lead and mentor a team of project managers, coordinators, and analysts; set performance and development targets, and conduct reviews.
  6. Identify obstacles and conflicts; ensure solutions are produced and escalate issues to keep schedules on track.
  7. Manage relationships with third-party system integrators and vendors, ensuring all deliverables are on time and meet acceptance criteria.
  8. Adhere to Rogers' delivery methodology and lead lessons learned sessions for continuous improvement.
  9. Collaborate with procurement for tendering and awarding SOWs for vendors and system integrators.
What you bring:
  1. 8+ years managing large, complex IT projects, preferably in telecommunications.
  2. Experience in program governance, stakeholder management, and supporting organizational change management (OCM).
  3. PMP certification with at least 3 years in program management or leadership.
  4. Knowledge of Service Management; experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
  5. Proven vendor management experience.
  6. Ability to thrive in challenging, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments.
  7. Strong negotiation, relationship management, communication, and business writing skills.
  8. Strategic thinker capable of decision-making and innovative planning.
  9. Motivated, collaborative leader with organizational, multitasking, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution skills.
  10. Proficient in project management tools and MS Office suite.
  11. Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days a week at our Calgary location. A background check will be conducted as part of our hiring process. Travel up to 10% may be required.
