Job summary

Cornerstone Kitchens and Closets Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing activities, manage production schedules, and uphold quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

You will oversee staffing, training, inventory controls, and process improvements to drive on-time delivery of cabinets and closets. The role requires 3+ years in production management, strong knowledge of cabinet construction, and proficiency with MS Office and production software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Production Management experience in a people leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen cabinet construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams).
• Experience with production and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities for manufacturing; adjust schedules to meet objectives and communicate clearly with the team.
• Ensure production schedules are met with quality, efficiency, and cost control.
• Review staffing to maximize output, quality, and safety; partner with the Shop Supervisor on changes and measurement of outputs.
• Provide ongoing training, supervision, and guidance to team members.
• Oversee inventory handling and accuracy of on-hand information; maintain proper storage and retrieval processes.
• Lead adherence to safety and environmental health programs and maintain equipment and tooling.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Vice-President as the Production Manageryou play a key role to ensure monthly and yearly budgets are met by assisting to set production capacities, ensuring production levels are met and overseeing the company Quality Assurance program. You ensure kitchen cabinets and closets are manufactured in an accurate, efficient and safe manner. You also lead and plan priorities and workflows to continuously improve processes, tools and machinery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production activities for manufacturing. Adjusting schedules to meet objectives and ensuring communication to team members is clear and concise.
• Ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost control.
• Reviewing and organizing department staffing, maximizing output, quality and efficiency while providing a safe and engaging working environment. Collaborating with the Shop Supervisor to implement changes and measure outputs.
• Providing ongoing training and development, supervision, and guidance to team members.
• Ensuring proper storage, handling and relieving of inventory to ensure accurate on hand information is maintained.
• Monitoring and maintaining efficiency levels against baselines established with Vice-President.
• Overseeing use and care of machinery, technological tools, and production software.
• Provide pre and post-sale technical support and consultation for customers.
• Liaising with Quality Control staff to resolve quality control issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensuring production and quality control processes follow company guidelines and providinga feedback to other departments.
• Promoting a safe work environment and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety programs.

Work Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
