MNP in Canada is seeking a Senior Manager to lead SR&ED and tax incentive claims for clients across industries, delivering practical, audit-ready narratives and collaborating with CFOs and finance teams in both French and English.

This role focuses on identifying eligible expenditures, managing multiple engagements, and expanding MNP’s tax incentive capabilities while upholding our client-service standards and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• CPA designation with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some deliverables in English.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, financial advisory or SR&ED/tax incentives.
• Strong ability to review financial information, analyze eligible expenditures and connect narratives with supporting data.
• Experience in a professional services firm is a strong asset.

• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Make an impact with our Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) team as a Senior Manager. This diverse team of professionals delivers customized tax strategies within a complex and dynamic regulatory framework. Responsibilities

• Lead the financial review of SR&ED and tax incentive claims for clients across a broad range of industries in both French and English.
• Work directly with CFOs, controllers and finance teams to analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax returns and other source documentation.
• Identify and quantify eligible SR&ED expenditures, including labour, subcontractor, material and other qualifying costs.
• Prepare, review and deliver high-quality, well-supported SR&ED claims that are complete, accurate and audit-ready.
• Build strong claim support by gathering, organizing and reviewing financial documentation and evidence of experimentation.
• Manage multiple client engagements at once, keeping projects on track, on budget and aligned with MNP quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, the CRA, Revenu Québec and other tax authorities throughout the claim process.
• Support Québec and Canadian tax incentive engagements beyond SR&ED, including CDAE/TCEB, C3i, multimedia tax credits, clean technology incentives and other select tax credit programs.
• Help grow the practice by identifying client needs, contributing to relationship development and promoting MNP’s broader tax incentive capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a client-service environment.

Skills & Experience

• CPA designation with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
• Five or more years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, financial advisory or SR&ED/tax incentives.
• Strong ability to review financial information, analyze eligible expenditures and connect technical claim narratives with supporting financial data.
• Experience in a professional services firm is an strong asset.
