Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Manager, Operations Planning and Analysis to drive performance across Canadian plasma operations. You will lead forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning with the VP of Plasma Operations Canada, acting as a senior advisor and analytics expert for regional leadership.

In this role, you’ll mentor team members, own dashboards and scorecards, and design new reporting to support better decision making across multiple centers and functions in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related field; master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of related experience; multi cost center experience a plus.
• Strong budgeting, reporting, financial systems and policy knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership and problem solving.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the divisional plasma operations forecasting, budget and interim forecasts.
• Serve as Canadian SME on volume, donor compensation, labor and metrics.
• Develop annual operating plans aligned with enterprise strategy and finance goals.
• Partner with Canadian leadership to drive performance and strategic planning.
• Manage annual budget for volume, compensation and labor; forecast monthly.
• Provide financial updates for regional calls and produce ad hoc analyses.

Manager, Operations Planning and Analysis

Summary

The Manager, Operations Planning and Analysis plays a critical role in the overall performance of Grifols Centers by providing strategic and tactical initiatives together with the VP of Plasma Operations Canada. They are part of the Leadership team and help drive positive business results as advisor, analyst, innovator, and strategic planner. They also take on specialist roles within the Operations Planning and Analysis department, thus impacting overall company results as well.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Leads the Assigned Divisional Plasma Operations forecasting process including the annual budget and all interim forecasting activities.
• Canadian Subject Matter Expert on volume, donor compensation, labor, Cost per liter and all Operations metrics in addition to current guidelines and policies impacting these areas.
• Develop and lead the annual operating planning process, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and financial objectives
• Crucial member of the Canadian Leadership team with responsibility for Operations performance results and strategic planning
• Leads the Canadian Operations annual budget process for volume, donor compensation, and labor as well as all interim forecasting (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Teams with Canadian leadership to develop monthly donor compensation tactics to meet overall strategy using competitive intelligence and modeling to make decisions
• Coordinates with other Departments such as Marketing, HR, and Business Optimization. Actively involved in assisting marketing campaigns, labor modeling, and business optimization initiatives.
• Partners with the Regional Operations Manager to target underperforming centers and develop action plans.
• Participate and provide financial update and analysis for regional calls and meetings.
• Designs and implements new reporting and or analysis to assist all centers and Company leadership with making better decisions. Responsible for all ad hoc and what if analysis scenario modeling for the country and or full company.
• The Manager of Operations Planning and Analysis will be responsible for several overall company reports for Volume, Labor, Donor compensation, and other metrics to keep the Field and Senior management apprised of how we are tracking on forecast, budget, and various initiatives.
• Provides mentoring and guidance to Canadian team members (ROM, and Center Managers) plus corporate departments as needed.
• Owns Plasma operational dashboards and executive scorecards that measure performance across regions and functions
• Distributes monthly and quarterly reports to assigned divisional cost center managers comparing actual performance to the company’s forecast.
• Build organizational capability in operational planning, business analytics and strategic thinking
• Assists Assigned Divisions of Plasma Operations with financial analysis on donor panels, donor fees, labor consumption, and projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Typically requires 8 -10 years of related experience. Experience working in a multi cost center structure a plus.
• Strong knowledge in different areas of Finance and Operations including but not limited to budgeting, reporting, financial systems, labor management, production, cost control and financial/operations policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent management and strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and prepare reports.
• Technical expertise and strong operational and project management skills.
• Effective team building and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and work with all levels within a global matrix driven organization.
• Master level of Excel with intermediate/advanced POWER BI or similar skills.
• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) Certification an asset.
