Job summary

Grifols in Toronto is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams to define, plan, and implement strategic projects. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing timelines and budgets, and presenting progress to senior leadership.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, a Black Belt in Project Management, and strong communication skills. Travel approx. 50% is expected; experience in plasma or healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Black Belt project management certification.
• 2 years plasma industry experience preferred; 5 years leading cross-functional projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work across departments.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct the management and implementation of multiple large and complex projects.
• Notify direct level manager with any project risks affecting timelines, costs, or resources.
• Work with departments to develop timelines, generate budgets, track tasks, and communicate updates.
• Assess skills, knowledge, and abilities of candidates to inform hiring decisions.
• Provide leadership and coaching on project tasks and professional development.
• Maintain and update weekly/monthly project reports and operational items.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and develop presentations for corporate and field representatives.
• Requires approximately 50% travel.

PROJECT MANAGER

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing a cross functional team to define, plan, and implement projects as assigned by their direct level supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the management and implementation of multiple large and complex projects.
• Notification to their direct level manager with any project risks that may affect timelines, cost, resources, etc.
• Work with different departments to develop timelines, generate project budgets, track tasks, communicate updates to the field, etc.
• Assess skills, knowledge, and abilities of candidates to make effective hiring decisions and identify developmental needs.
• Excellent understanding of multiple lines of business, and previous exposure or experience with multiple departments.
• Provide leadership, direction and coaching on project specific tasks as well as individual professional development.
• Maintain and update weekly/monthly reports on all projects and operational support items.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as required.
• Develop and present presentations to corporate and field representatives as needed.
• Requires approximately 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Project Management (Black belt)
• 2 Years of Plasma industry experience preferred. 5 years of previous experience leading projects across functional areas.
• A broad knowledge of plasma industry practices is required.
• Must have effective phone and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must work well across departments and in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt and manage on-going changes.
• Ability to present information in front of groups and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to manage work to completion through others.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
• Ability to speak, read, & write proficiently in English.
