Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Manager, Operations, Fund Oversight in Montreal to lead the Global Fund Oversight team, ensuring accuracy and integrity of NAV calculations for internal and external funds. You will oversee day-to-day operations, drive improvements, and build strong partnerships across stakeholders.

You will mentor team members, stay current on accounting and regulatory reporting requirements, and contribute to key projects while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; CPA or similar designation is an asset.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead role.
• Fully bilingual in French and English to support clients across jurisdictions outside Quebec.
• Strong knowledge of fund and investment accounting, securities, settlements, FX transactions and reconciliations.

Job description

As Manager, Operations, Fund Oversight, you will join our Global Fund Oversight team in Montreal and play a key leadership role in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for Manulife’s internally and externally managed funds. We are looking for a results-driven leader with strong investment accounting expertise and a deep understanding of financial markets to oversee day-to-day operations, operational support and file reviews. Beyond daily delivery, you will help shape the future of fund oversight by strengthening controls, optimizing processes, identifying synergies and building trusted, influential relationships with key partners and stakeholders.

In this role, you will lead meaningful initiatives, contribute to key projects and stay current on evolving accounting and regulatory reporting requirements. You will also serve as a role model and mentor, sharing your expertise, developing junior team members and inspiring active participation across the team’s priorities and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; a CPA or other financial designation is an asset.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of three years in a managerial or team lead role.
• Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
• Strong knowledge of fund and investment accounting, securities, settlements, foreign exchange transactions and reconciliations.
• Results-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly, meet tight deadlines and take ownership.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented and highly accurate, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary range is expected to be between

$88,800.00 CAD - $138,800.00 CAD
