Our client is looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting to cover a 24-month contract.

Location: 3 days on site in downtown Toronto

About the Opportunity

• Preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
• Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (IFRS)
• Manage the preparation of management discussion & analysis reported externally
• Support/lead special projects and M&A transactions
• Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of accounting standards
• Promote a strong technical accounting and reporting finance team by overseeing non-routine/unusual finance transactions
• Review external financial information such as consolidated financial statements, MD&A, press releases, and statutory filings
• Provide support on SOX control testing

About You

• 7+ years of relevant experience as a Manager/Senior Manager within financial/external reporting
• Strong technical accounting & policy experience
• Experience within resource/mining sector is required
• Well-versed in external financial reporting for publicly listed companies
