A regional municipality in Canada is seeking a strategic Manager of Engineering and Asset Leadership to oversee municipal infrastructure and lead engineering staff. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $91,890 to $102,100, depending on experience. The ideal candidate has a background in Civil or Municipal Engineering and at least five years of experience in municipal engineering or infrastructure planning. The Town of Smithers is seeking a strategic and collaborative individual to oversee municipal infrastructure, asset management, and lead engineering staff. This is a full-time, exempt position.
Surrounded by mountain ranges and beautiful lakes and rivers, Smithers is a northern gem. The town has a population of around 5,400 and is a service hub for the surrounding region comprised of approximately 15,000 people.

Reporting to the Director of Development Services, the Manager of Engineering and Asset Leadership leads engineering staff and external partners in planning, delivering, and managing municipal infrastructure projects while driving asset strategies that ensure reliable, long‑term community services.
This position offers a competitive salary of $91,890 - $102,100 (commensurate with experience).
