Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, standards, definitions, and quality controls.
• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness.
• Establish and oversee policies related to data management, privacy, retention, and responsible data use.
• Partner with IT, privacy, and security teams to align data practices with architecture and compliance.
• Oversee dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting.
• Translate priorities into analytics and performance measures.
• Support leaders with operational, financial, client service, workforce, quality, and performance reporting.
• Advance reporting literacy and self-service analytics across the organization.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Oversee implementation and enhancement of the Quality Framework and Improvement Plan.
• Define measurable outcomes, monitor progress, and evaluate initiatives.
• Support accreditation readiness, audits, governance activities, and continuous improvement.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies, PDSA cycles, and root cause analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff within data, reporting, analytics, and quality functions.

The Opportunity:

KidsAbility is seeking a Manager of Data and Quality to provide operational leadership for KidsAbility's enterprise data, analytics, reporting, and quality improvement functions. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Solutions, this role ensures organizational data is accurate, trusted, and transformed into meaningful insights that support service excellence, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. Building on KidsAbility's established Quality Framework, the Manager of Data and Quality will champion a data-informed culture and lead initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

As Manager of Data and Quality, you will:

• Lead enterprise-wide data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, standards, definitions, and quality controls.
• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks that ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness of organizational data.
• Establish and oversee policies and procedures related to data management, privacy, retention, and responsible data use.
• Partner with IT, privacy, and security teams to align data practices with organizational architecture, compliance requirements, and access controls.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive-level reporting.
• Translate organizational, clinical, and operational priorities into meaningful analytics and performance measures.
• Support leaders with operational, financial, client service, workforce, quality, and performance reporting.
• Advance a culture of reporting literacy and self-service analytics to improve decision‑making across the organization.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives using data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and service improvement priorities.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous enhancement of KidsAbility's Quality Framework and Quality Improvement Plan.
• Partner with leaders and teams to define measurable outcomes, monitor progress, and evaluate improvement initiatives.
• Support accreditation readiness, audits, governance activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Apply and promote quality improvement methodologies such as Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, Lean principles, and root cause analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff within data, reporting, analytics, and quality functions.
• Foster strong partnerships across clinical, operational, corporate, HR, finance, and executive leadership teams while cultivating a collaborative, service‑oriented culture focused on accountability, innovation, and learning.

Your Experience and Expertise:

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Information Management, Statistics, Public Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is considered an asset.

In addition, you will bring:

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, business intelligence, health information management, quality improvement, or performance management.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, enterprise initiatives, or cross-functional projects.
• Experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Excel, and enterprise reporting and dashboard tools.
• Expertise in data governance, data quality management, KPI development, and analytics best practices.
• Familiarity with privacy legislation and healthcare confidentiality requirements, including PHIPA.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and change leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• The ability to simplify technical concepts and data‑driven insights for both leaders and frontline teams.

The following qualifications would be considered assets:

• Formal training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or other process improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in PDSA cycles, process mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Experience within healthcare, nonprofit, public sector, or community‑based service environments.
