Position OverviewSantis Health, a leading consultancy specializing in communications, public affairs and strategy within the health care sector, is looking to hire a Manager of Communications. Based in our Toronto office, this hybrid role requires an ambitious, motivated individual with a passion for strategic communications and strong levels of accountability and integrity . As a key member of the Santis Communications Practice, the Manager will work closely with the team to build and deliver communications solutions that elevate both Santis Health and its clients.Key Responsibilities- Support and manage client accounts by developing and executing strategic communications plans.
- Lead project teams and provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
- Oversee the execution of client deliverables, including timelines, resource coordination, and project budgets.
- Cultivate strong relationships with health system clients, including hospitals, long-term care providers, and home care organizations.
- Provide strategic communications counsel in areas such as media relations, stakeholder engagement, corporate communications and crisis management.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and pitches.
- Assist in building trust and credibility with clients through proactive problem-solving, accountability and high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications- 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Consulting or agency experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline.
- Proven success at developing and managing communications strategies across multiple channels.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, clients, and stakeholders while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian health care system and experience working with hospitals, long-term care homes, or home care organizations.
- Strong people and project management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
Required Skills- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (including PowerPoint / G-Suite proficiency).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and competing deadlines.
- Strong prioritization, time management, and problem-solving abilities, particularly on complex and sensitive issues
- Ability to independently drive client projects forward while proactively identifying and addressing needs.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Professionalism and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
