Reporting to the Director, Retail Capabilities, you will own the development and execution of the North America bottom-up demand forecast. While Finance owns the top-down financial targets and annual plan, you will be responsible for translating market dynamics, consumer demand, ecommerce trends, merchandising strategies, store performance, and operational inputs into actionable regional, area, and store-level forecasts.

You will partner closely with Retail Operations, Finance, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Brand Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure forecasts accurately reflect business strategies, promotional activities, product launches, traffic patterns, and evolving consumer behaviours. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, analytical rigour, and the ability to influence decisions across multiple business functions.

You will work primarily in a head-office environment, enabling leaders across the business with clear, data-driven planning insights that support growth, investment decisions, and operational execution.

This role is based in Vancouver, BC and operates in a hybrid work environment. Given the highly collaborative nature of this position, regular in-person partnership is important, with an expectation of working from the North Vancouver office approximately 3-4 days per week.

If you were in the Manager, North America Retail Planning role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Owning the development and execution of the North America bottom-up demand forecast, creating accurate regional, area, and store-level sales plans

  • Translating top-down financial targets into actionable retail forecasts and performance plans in partnership with Finance

  • Developing forecasting models and scenario analyses using historical performance, consumer demand trends, ecommerce activity, brand campaigns, traffic patterns, conversion, seasonality, and operational inputs

  • Partnering with Retail Operations leaders to understand business realities, execution risks, and opportunities impacting forecast performance

  • Collaborating with Merchandising teams to incorporate assortment strategies, product launches, inventory constraints, and category opportunities into demand forecasts

  • Working closely with Ecommerce and Brand Marketing teams to ensure digital demand signals, campaigns, and consumer trends are reflected in retail planning assumptions

  • Partnering with Analytics teams to improve forecast accuracy, identify key business drivers, and enhance planning methodologies through data and insights

  • Leading cross-functional planning discussions, aligning stakeholders on assumptions, priorities, trade-offs, risks, and opportunities

  • Establishing planning governance, reporting processes, forecast accuracy metrics, and business review cadences that improve visibility, accountability, and decision making across North America retail business

  • Managing and developing a small team of planners and analysts supporting forecasting, reporting, and planning activities

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Building a best-in-class retail planning capability that improves forecast accuracy and business performance across North America

  • Developing integrated planning processes that connect Brand, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics, and Retail Operations into a single demand planning framework

  • Introducing machine learning and AI-enabled forecasting capabilities that improve prediction accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen planning decisions

  • Leveraging predictive analytics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities before they impact business performance

  • Supporting long-range planning activities, including growth scenarios, market expansion strategies, new store investments, and strategic initiatives

  • Partnering with leadership teams to improve productivity, profitability, and guest experience through more accurate planning and decision-making

  • Establishing scalable planning systems, tools, and governance processes that support future growth

  • Creating and owning the single bottom-up demand forecast for North America Retail, bringing together inputs from Retail Operations, Finance, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Brand Marketing, and Analytics to create one aligned view of future demand that drives planning, investment decisions, staffing strategies, and business performance
