Job Details

We are a food production facility seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in Moose Jaw, SK. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will ensure the overall health of the plant remains optimal, on budget, and compliant with regulatory standards by managing maintenance staff, preventive maintenance programs, inventory, and maintenance tasks.

1. Responsibilities:
   • Manage staff, including coaching and training.
   • Ensure technicians are trained, equipped, and motivated to perform maintenance safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
   • Maintain effective communication with maintenance staff and other departments such as QA and operations.
   • Participate in setting objectives, planning, and reviewing plant performance.
   • Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
   • Monitor and review plant equipment operation.
   • Manage parts inventory, spending, and work orders using CMMS.
   • Ensure safety, health, and environmental policies are followed.
   • Meet all regulatory standards at city, county, state, and federal levels.
   • Enforce safety programs within the maintenance department.
2. Requirements:
   • Electrical or Millwright ticket.
   • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance roles.
   • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
   • Experience in food or meat processing industry is preferred.
   • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
   • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
   • Organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
   • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per year
