Job summary

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP in Brampton is seeking a Manager, IT Operations to lead infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support across cloud and on‑premises environments.

Reporting to the VP of IT, you will manage a 5+ person team, oversee key technology partners, and drive secure, reliable IT service delivery with a focus on hybrid operations and Microsoft 365 Administration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience, incl 3+ years leading infra, support or security teams.
• Experience with hybrid environments and Microsoft Azure footprint.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, Entra ID, Azure monitoring, Backup/Site Recovery, and M365 administration.
• Understanding of cloud governance, identity management, SSO/MFA, CA, and PIM.
• Experience with Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Intune, ISO 27001, SOC 2 readiness, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure, including performance, availability, backup, disaster recovery, patching, and security.
• Lead cloud migrations, hybrid connectivity, Microsoft 365 administration, and automation improvements.
• Manage cybersecurity across identity, endpoint, network, email, and cloud environments.
• Support vulnerability management, incident response, ISO 27001 governance, and SOC 2 readiness.
• Lead Tier 1–Tier 3 IT support across all sites.
• Improve ITSM practices, service desk performance, endpoint management, onboarding/offboarding.
• Coach and develop a team of infra and support professionals.
• Manage vendors, SLAs, renewals, and statements of work.

Position Summary

The Manager, IT Operations, leads Quantum’s infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support functions across cloud and on-premises environments.

Reporting to the VP of IT, this role manages a team of 5+ IT professionals, oversees key technology partners, and ensures secure, reliable, and responsive IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Oversee on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure, including performance, availability, backup, disaster recovery, patching, and security.
• Lead infrastructure projects such as cloud migrations, hybrid connectivity, Microsoft 365 administration, and automation improvements.

Cybersecurity

• Manage cybersecurity across identity, endpoint, network, email, and cloud environments.
• Support vulnerability management, incident response, ISO 27001 governance, and SOC 2 readiness.

IT Support & Service Delivery

• Lead responsive Tier 1–Tier 3 IT support across all sites.
• Improve ITSM practices, service desk performance, endpoint management, onboarding, and offboarding standards.
• Coach and develop a team of infrastructure and support professionals.
• Manage vendors and service providers, including service reviews, renewals, and statements of work.

Governance, Budget & Strategy

• Support IT budgets, documentation, asset inventory, operational reporting, KPIs, and risk updates for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on progressive IT experience, including 3+ years leading infrastructure, support, or security teams.
• Experience managing hybrid environments with a strong Microsoft Azure footprint.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, Backup, Site Recovery, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Solid understanding of cloud governance, app services, licensing, identity and access management, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and PIM.

Cybersecurity

• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Intune security baselines, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2 readiness, security controls, audits, risk management, Zero Trust, and vendor risk.

Infrastructure & Support

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, networking, Wi-Fi, virtualization, Intune, and ITSM/ITIL practices.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Hands-on people leadership, communication, customer service, vendor management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience; relevant Azure, security, endpoint, CISSP, CISM, Security+, or ITIL certifications preferred.
