Job summary

MatchBox is seeking a Manager, IT Audits, Cybersecurity to lead technology-focused audit and assurance work, including financial audits, cybersecurity engagements and SOC reporting. This hybrid role is based in Vancouver, Canada, with cross-functional collaboration across clients and teams.

Responsibilities include leading ITGC testing, planning cybersecurity assessments, managing SOC 1 and 2 examinations, coaching junior staff, and integrating IT risk into advisory strategies for diverse client

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in IT audit, cybersecurity, SOC reporting, or technology risk advisory.
• Strong knowledge of ITGC frameworks, cybersecurity standards, SOC reporting, and cloud environments.
• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CPA are assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead ITGC testing for financial statement audits and controls.
• Plan and execute cybersecurity assessments and maturity reviews.
• Manage SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations including walkthroughs and testing.
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend remediation.

This role is hybrid, based in Vancouver and works closely with cross-functional teams, partners, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ITGC testing for financial statement audits, covering access management, change management, IT operations, and automated controls
• Plan and execute cybersecurity assessments, maturity reviews, and technology risk evaluations
• Manage SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, including control walkthroughs and effectiveness testing
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend practical remediation
• Oversee engagement teams, review workpapers, and support quality and project management across clients
• Integrate IT risk considerations into broader audit and advisory strategies
• Build strong client relationships through clear, professional communication
• Support team coaching, training, and methodology improvements

What You Bring

• 5-8+ years in IT audit, cybersecurity, SOC reporting, or technology risk advisory
• Strong knowledge of ITGC frameworks, cybersecurity standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001), SOC reporting, and cloud environments
• CISA, CISSP, or CPA certification an asset
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
