Job summary

Intact Investment Management Inc. is seeking a Manager, Investment Reporting to lead the finance function at the intersection of financial reporting, accounting, controls, and data transformation.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and investment professionals to shape reporting for a large global portfolio. Qualifications

  • CPA designation required for this role.
  • 7+ years in financial reporting, investment accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years leading direct reports, with coaching and performance management.
  • Experience with investment products, regulatory reporting, data transformation, automation or reporting modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end financial close for investments with strong controls and analysis.
  • Oversee external reporting: consolidated, legal entity statements, management reporting, regulatory filings.
  • Deliver internal reporting and ad hoc analyses for senior leaders on performance and issues.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members to foster accountability and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate investment-related audit activities and liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assess and implement new/amended accounting standards and advise on implications.
  • Partner with investment teams and Finance to integrate investment results into enterprise reporting.
  • Drive modernization, automation, and centralization of investment financial information and controls.
  • Champion strong control environment and opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, scalability and UX.
  • Represent the function in strategic/regulatory/cross-functional initiatives to influence outcomes.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

118,700 - 145,100

Annual Bonus Target, Based On The Base Salary, With a Potential Payout Of Up To Double The Target (subject To Personal And Company Performance)

As Manager, Investment Reporting, you will lead a key finance function at the intersection of financial reporting, accounting, controls, and data transformation. You will have broad exposure to senior leaders and investment professionals while helping shape the reporting and decision‑support capabilities behind a large and diverse global investment portfolio.

Our Team

Intact Investment Management brings together approximately 80 professionals across fixed income, equities, private investments, asset allocation, compliance and governance, trading, and transactional support and reporting. You will join a collaborative environment where expertise is shared, ideas are welcomed, and professional growth is actively supported.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial close for investments, ensuring accurate system flows, effective controls, high‑quality analysis, and timely review of results.
  • Oversee external reporting of investment results, including consolidated and legal entity financial statements, management reporting, and regulatory filings.
  • Deliver relevant internal reporting and ad hoc analyses that help senior leaders understand investment performance, emerging issues, and business implications.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate investment‑related audit activities and build strong, productive relationships with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assess and implement new or amended accounting standards and advise on the financial reporting implications of significant or complex investment transactions.
  • Partner with investment teams and Finance colleagues, including management control and accounting research, to integrate investment results into enterprise‑wide reporting.
  • Drive the modernization, automation, and centralization of investment financial information, controls, and reporting processes.
  • Champion a strong control environment and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, scalability, and the user experience.
  • Represent the function on strategic, regulatory, and cross‑functional initiatives, influencing outcomes and supporting successful delivery.
What You Bring
  • CPA designation is required; CFA designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, investment accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience leading direct reports, including performance management, coaching, and career development – is required
  • Experience with investment products, regulatory reporting, complex accounting matters, data transformation, automation, or reporting modernization.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes and the design and operation of key controls.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex matters into clear recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high‑quality results in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade, influence, and motivate stakeholders across a broad range of functions and experience levels.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required to interact regularly with French‑ and English‑speaking colleagues across Canada, U.S., U.K. and Europe.
