Job summary

Intact Investment Management Inc. in Montréal seeks a Manager, Investment Reporting to lead the financial close for investments, oversee external reporting, and provide decision-support to senior leaders.

You will guide a high-performing team, drive modernization through automation and data centralization, and collaborate with investment teams across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close for investments, ensuring accurate system flows, effective controls, high-quality analysis, and timely review of results.
• Oversee external reporting of investment results, including consolidated and legal entity financial statements, management reporting, and regulatory filings.
• Deliver relevant internal reporting and ad hoc analyses that help senior leaders understand investment performance, emerging issues, and business implications.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
• Coordinate investment-related audit activities and build strong, productive relationships with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Assess and implement new or amended accounting standards and advise on the financial reporting implications of significant or complex investment transactions.
• Partner with investment teams and Finance colleagues, including management control and accounting research, to integrate investment results into enterprise-wide reporting.
• Drive the modernization, automation, and centralization of investment financial information, controls, and reporting processes.
• Champion a strong control environment and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, scalability, and the user experience.
• Represent the function on strategic, regulatory, and cross-functional initiatives, influencing outcomes and supporting successful delivery.

Salary range (but not limited to): 118,700 - 145,100

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
