PSPSync is seeking a Manager, Information Technology to lead technology workstreams for PSP programs and internal operations across Canada. You will translate business needs into practical technology solutions, manage client-focused initiatives, and ensure delivery on time and within scope.

Responsibilities include directing software implementation, system integrations, data migrations, UAT, change management, and governance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, technology project management, systems implementation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading complex technology implementations and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working directly with clients and managing technology-related client communications and expectations.
  • Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
  • Experience with software implementation, system configuration, integrations, testing/UAT, change management, and production deployment.
  • Experience managing external technology vendors and implementation partners.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, PSPs, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian healthcare privacy, data protection, and security considerations is an asset.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Change management certification or experience with formal change management methodologies is an asset.

We partner closely with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to deliver patient-centric programs that improve outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of privacy, security, and compliance.

Position Summary

The Manager, Information Technology is responsible for leading technology workstreams and delivering strategic technology initiatives that support pharmaceutical manufacturers, Patient Support Programs (PSPs), and internal business operations.

This role serves as a key technology partner for clients and internal stakeholders, leading the implementation of new software applications, technology-enabled business processes, system enhancements, and technology components of new Patient Support Program launches. The Manager, Information Technology will oversee projects from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, testing, change management, launch, and post-implementation support.

As a client-facing technology leader, this position is responsible for translating business and client requirements into practical technology solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with organizational, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead technology workstreams for strategic client and organizational initiatives from planning through implementation and stabilization.
  • Manage technology components associated with the launch, expansion, transition, and enhancement of Patient Support Programs.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of new software applications, platforms, and technology solutions.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables for assigned technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams, clients, software vendors, implementation partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop appropriate mitigation and escalation strategies.
  • Ensure technology projects are delivered according to established scope, timelines, quality standards, and business requirements.
  • Provide regular project status reporting and communicate key decisions, risks, issues, and accomplishments to stakeholders.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a primary technology contact for pharmaceutical manufacturer clients on assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Lead client-facing technology discussions, requirements-gathering sessions, project meetings, solution reviews, and implementation updates.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with clients to understand business requirements, operational objectives, reporting needs, workflows, and technology expectations.
  • Build effective relationships with client technology teams, program stakeholders, vendors, and internal business leaders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication regarding project scope, timelines, risks, changes, and decisions.
Business Analysis & Solution Design
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to identify and document business, functional, technical, integration, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, data quality, user experience, and scalability through technology.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, workflows, system configurations, and implementation requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to assess solution feasibility and recommend appropriate technology approaches.
  • Ensure technology solutions support operational requirements while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, compliance, and data-management standards.
Software Implementation & Systems Management
  • Lead or coordinate system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, validation, deployment, and production readiness activities.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of business-critical platforms and applications.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect management, issue resolution, and business sign-off.
  • Manage system enhancements and change requests from assessment and prioritization through implementation.
  • Work with vendors and internal technical resources to troubleshoot complex system and integration issues.
  • Ensure appropriate system documentation, configuration records, technical specifications, and support procedures are maintained.
Change Management & Process Improvement
  • Lead technology-related change management activities associated with new systems, processes, and program launches.
  • Assess the operational impact of technology changes and develop implementation and transition plans that minimize business disruption.
  • Partner with business leaders, operations, training, and other stakeholders to support user readiness and adoption.
  • Develop or coordinate system documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, training materials, and implementation communications.
  • Monitor post-launch adoption and performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promote standardized, scalable, and sustainable technology and business processes across the organization.
Patient Support Program Technology
  • Support the technology design and implementation of new Patient Support Programs for pharmaceutical manufacturer clients.
  • Partner with program operations and client teams to translate program requirements into system workflows and technology solutions.
  • Support technology requirements related to patient enrollment, case management, reimbursement, communications, reporting, integrations, and other PSP workflows.
  • Coordinate technology readiness activities for program launches and significant program changes.
  • Ensure solutions appropriately support sensitive patient and healthcare information and applicable privacy and security requirements.
  • Participate in program launch readiness assessments and provide technology support during go-live and stabilization periods.
Technology Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure technology initiatives follow organizational standards for security, privacy, documentation, change control, and system access.
  • Collaborate with security, privacy, compliance, quality, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet applicable requirements.
  • Support technology risk assessments, audits, client assessments, and remediation activities as required.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and controls throughout the technology project lifecycle.
  • Support vendor evaluation and technology due diligence for new applications and service providers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, technology project management, systems implementation, business systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technology implementations and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working directly with clients and managing technology-related client communications and expectations.
  • Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
  • Experience with software implementation, system configuration, integrations, testing/UAT, change management, and production deployment.
  • Experience managing external technology vendors and implementation partners.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, Patient Support Programs, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
