Job Summary

Manager in Training – Regular position located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will manage a business centre as if you owned it, without the financial risk, serving a local market and leading projects of all sizes with top manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand your market and develop an annual and medium-term business plan.
  • Manage all internal and external activities of the business centre, including financial management, sales, project management, customer service, purchasing, distribution, and team management.
  • Analyze the centre’s current performance and assess opportunities to increase service levels and market‑share growth.
  • Build solid relationships with local and regional representatives of key suppliers and create business partnerships.
  • Promote the business centre and invest in the community, building partnerships to support the next generation and position the company as an outstanding employer.
  • Attract, hire, train, and equip new staff; motivate the team to maintain a positive, stimulating and productive atmosphere.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and enforce health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Understand and master the business centre’s operations, including the various systems, and promote personal and professional knowledge and skill development.
Training Program

Complete the “Learn to Manage Your Centre” training program, requiring availability, willingness, and a valid driver’s license and good credit rating.

Qualifications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for taking on challenges.
  • Customer‑oriented and strong team player.
  • Solid experience or knowledge in management, commercial sales and distribution, and the electricity and renewable energy industry.
  • Availability and willingness to complete the training program.
  • Valid driver’s licence and good credit rating.
