Job Description

The Manager, HEOR will lead multi-disciplinary research teams and provide HEOR expertise and strategic leadership at all stages of projects from planning to communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute projects that exceed client expectations while remaining on‑time, on‑budget
  • Determine and manage project scope, timelines, budget for several competing projects
  • Develop and review materials for accuracy, consistency, quality, and conformity to EVERSANA standards
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Methodological-related
  • Provide leadership to ensure projects are underpinned by strong and defendable HEOR concepts and methods
  • Ensure projects adhere to high standards of pharmacoeconomic analysis and health technology assessment
Client-related
  • Build relationships with clients that result in ongoing business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for future collaborations
Company-related
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and timelines
  • Promote a positive and energetic work environment through healthy and effective communication, a strong work ethic, and professional conduct
  • Identify and develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Contribute to decisions regarding company direction and growth, staffing of projects, and project workload
Additional Responsibilities

People Leader
  • Assigns and reviews work, offers technical and professional guidance, and ensures adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Coaches junior staff on project execution and development of core skills. Participation in the Performance Improvement Plan process may be required to support performance within projects.
  • Works alongside reporting managers to provide input and feedback on junior team members’ performance during mid‑year and year‑end review cycles.
  • Collaborates cross‑functionally to coordinate project delivery, resources, and priorities.
  • Influences team outcomes through project planning and execution, rather than formal line management.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB
  • Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off‑site personnel/management
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (about 1 and a half days) per week. Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: MSc in a Life Science discipline, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related field

Experience and or Training
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ direct work experience in health economics, health technology assessment, or a related field
  • Strong basis in cost‑effectiveness model design, analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience with HTA submissions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage personal and project team members’ time across competing projects
  • Proven ability to identify and respond to different communication and work styles of team members and contractors
  • Demonstrated leadership, team‑building and team‑motivating skills
  • Demonstrated planning and decision‑making skills
  • Strong strategic, problem solving, and analytical abilities
  • Proven relationship building capabilities; developing and maintaining strong client relationships, effectively interacting with peers
  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technology/Equipment
    • Experience in model programming in VBA preferred
Compensation

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of Canada. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job‑related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
