As the Canadian affiliate continues to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director, Market Access & HEOR to play a critical role in developing the evidence and value strategies that support successful reimbursement and patient access.

About the Role

Reporting into a global Market Access & HEOR leader, while partnering closely with the Canadian Market Access leadership team, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence both affiliate and global strategy.

This is a genuinely hands-on role where you will combine strategic thinking with technical execution. You will lead the development of health economic models, Real World Evidence strategies, HTA submissions, evidence generation plans and scientific publications that demonstrate the value of innovative therapies to reimbursement agencies and healthcare decision-makers.

Working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Global HEOR and external stakeholders, you will translate complex scientific and clinical data into compelling payer value propositions while helping shape market access strategy throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and payer value dossiers
  • Lead publication planning and scientific dissemination activities

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Global HEOR and Market Access teams
  • Manage external research organisations, modelling vendors and academic collaborators
  • Present evidence to internal stakeholders and support payer engagement activities
  • Continuously identify evidence gaps and develop strategies to strengthen reimbursement outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • PhD, ScD or MD in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline
  • Demonstrated experience within Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Market Access or Evidence Generation within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Previous experience supporting vaccines is essential. Candidates with prior vaccine portfolio experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and personally contributing to health economic modelling, evidence generation and HTA activities
  • Strong understanding of Canadian reimbursement processes including HTA and payer evidence requirements
  • Experience developing payer value communications, publications and reimbursement evidence
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear commercial messages
  • Experience working effectively across global and affiliate cross-functional teams

Culture

This organisation fosters a collaborative, high-performing and purpose-driven culture where scientific excellence and innovation are balanced with agility, accountability and teamwork. You'll join an environment that encourages curiosity, continuous learning and meaningful collaboration while providing the opportunity to influence decisions that improve patient access to life-changing therapies.
