ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will oversee the corporate FP&A functions, including preparing annual three-year budgets, quarterly reforecasts, management dashboards, reporting, and presentations. The role involves establishing and monitoring corporate performance targets and KPIs for SHAPE’s investment and operating companies and developing a top-tier FP&A process within SHAPE.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage financial models to evaluate current and projected performance under various scenarios, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify key financial drivers, risks, opportunities, and support the achievement of corporate targets.
  • Develop and manage annual three-year budgets and quarterly reforecasts for executive review.
  • Generate quarterly and annual KPI reports for corporate and business units.
  • Analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support business teams in meeting financial targets.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team for monthly variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to operational and financial leadership.
  • Enhance processes and tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insights.
  • Conduct independent research on economic and real estate market trends.
  • Create and update dashboards, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed for key business decisions.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability in a growing environment and support for team initiatives.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills using Excel and other tools.
  • Proficiency with systems; experience with Yardi is an asset.
  • Commitment to excellence and personal ownership.

Required Training and Experience

Salary Range : $125,000 - $150,000 / year
