Salary Range: $117,887 - $159,495 (plus eligible for a performance-based incentive)

Overview: Leader with expertise at the intersection of finance and sustainability needed. Sustainability involves meeting current needs while preserving future generations' ability to meet theirs, aligning with FCC's values.

Your team will help lending teams incorporate sustainability into their processes by identifying opportunities and risks, and building capacity among peers and leaders.

What You’ll Do
  1. Support business units in integrating sustainability into their processes.
  2. Oversee assessment of environmental and social risks, recommending loan structures from a first-line perspective.
  3. Assess deal alignment with FCC’s strategy and impact potential in the Canadian agriculture and food industry.
  4. Draft submissions for reviews, compliance, and eligibility, balancing rigor and efficiency.
  5. Handle responsibilities across transaction stages, liaising between Credit and other teams.
  6. Contribute to evolving FCC’s policies and practices for sustainability.
  7. Engage with external industry players and internal units to embed sustainability.
  8. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop FCC’s sustainability strategy and initiatives.

  3. Ability to manage multiple projects.
  4. Self-starter with curiosity about agriculture.
What You’ll Need
  1. Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, finance, agriculture, or related, plus 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
  2. Experience applying sustainability practically and impactfully, ideally in finance or agriculture/food sectors.
  3. Experience integrating non-credit risks and sustainability into lending and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Graduate degree or certifications (e.g., SASB, CFA, CBV, ESG, GARP SCR) are assets.
