Job Description
As the Manager, Enterprise Resilience, you will be accountable for developing, maintaining, testing, and improving CPP Investments’ Business Continuity Plans, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience Tools, and Processes to support the organization’s ability to respond to disruptive events across the risk spectrum. This job also encompasses all activities that support Crisis Management (CM), Business Continuity (BC), and Operational Resilience (OR). Key functions include the planning and development of global Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity Plans, end-to-end Service mapping, and Crisis Management Planning and coordination.
Team Description
The Enterprise Resilience team is dedicated to ensuring the overall resilience of the organization through proactive crisis management and incident coordination. We work collaboratively to design, implement, and continuously improve strategies that safeguard our operations and stakeholders during crisis events. We emphasize the importance of collaborating across the organization with a positive attitude to foster a unified and effective response.
Accountabilities
- Leading organization-wide engagements to conduct Business Impact Analysis, build Business Continuity Plans and assist business units in developing adequate recovery strategies for their critical business processes.
- Using a risk-based approach, developing the business continuity practices ensuring that CPP Investments is prepared to respond to any number of dynamic risks across our geographies.
- Solutioning to modernize our processes and systems that support business continuity in way that promotes resilience across the organization.
- Design and execute increasingly sophisticated tabletop exercises and scenarios to rigorously test and enhance the organization's crisis response capabilities.
- Developing clear metrics for the evaluation of program components and standardized reporting that leverage data to inform improvements, communicating insights and making recommendations to multiple stakeholders.
- Act as a crisis and incident coordinator, leading the response efforts and ensuring effective communication and resolution during crisis events.
- Developing and facilitating a training program for all staff involved in any aspect of Business Continuity Planning.
- Supporting the Enterprise Resilience team as needed during crises.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, legal, and communications, to respond effectively during emergencies. This includes managing communication protocols, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.
- Facilitate regular business continuity exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of existing plans.
- Coach and mentor corporate stakeholders at all levels on the value and need for development, maintenance, and recurrent testing of the Business Continuity Plans.
- Maintain situational awareness of current events globally, nationally, and locally and communicate their potential impact on the business.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in fields such as systems engineering, industrial engineering, or civil engineering or a degree in information technology or computer science with focus in cybersecurity and/or data analysis.
- Professional designation or certification; CBCP or MBCI industry certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Professional designation or certification in IT disaster recovery (e.g., CDRP, BCLE), or IT governance (e.g., CGEIT) is valued.
- Understanding of cybersecurity threats and best practices for protecting organizational assets during a crisis.
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with tools and platforms used for crisis management and incident response, such as Everbridge, or similar.
- Experience in guiding and assisting business functional leaders in developing and documenting business recovery strategies with an eye for unique global needs.
- Expertise in creating and implementing incident response plans, including communication protocols and escalation procedures.
- Technology experience with a focus on systems recovery and change management processes.
- Advanced MS Office and Tableau skills
- Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, generate reports, and provide actionable insights for improving crisis response.
