Job description

Manager, Enterprise Planning & Capability Management (12-Month Contract)

What You’ll Do

Under our recently announced “True North” Multi-Year Strategy, CTC is focused on transformation, making considerable changes to how we operate. This includes a new corporate strategy, a reorganized structure and unified company, new ways of working, and a Transformation Management Office (TMO) that will ensure strategic initiatives are delivered and generate value.

The Strategy Activation team will play a key role in this transformation, developing and leading new enterprise- and customer-centric ways of working within the TMO, including Business Process Reengineering (BPR) practices to activate our strategic plans and goals. The Manager, Enterprise Planning and Capability Management will develop new and/or build on existing competencies to establish an execution model that translates strategic direction into smooth execution.

  1. Program Management: Design and develop new tools and processes to enable transformation, focusing on servicing enterprise scale, reducing friction, and clarifying accountabilities (e.g., more authorities and tools, fewer meetings and approvals).
  2. Support development and implementation of a ‘Capability Management’ mindset: Provide a common framework for critical processes across the enterprise such as multi-year and annual planning, technology roadmaps, investment planning, talent development, and objective setting.
  3. Integration: Incorporate into Annual Planning and the new TMO operating model to unlock and activate value from new tools and processes.
  4. Facilitation: Lead discussions with Design Leads and cross-functional SMEs to support integrated design, sequencing, and execution, especially with IT and Finance.
  5. Coordination: Develop executive checkpoints and materials to secure sponsor approvals and support.
  6. Resource Management: Manage external and internal resources, including consulting firms and AI/Automation tools, to meet program deliverables.
  7. Change Management: Collaborate with change management experts to create and implement ongoing change activities.

What You Bring

  • Undergraduate degree (PMP, MBA is an asset)
  • 3+ years of managerial experience with strong influencing and relationship skills
  • Executive presence and ability to work closely with leaders at all levels
  • Proven ability to structure complex issues, problem solve, and build roadmaps
  • Strong background in project chartering, scope development, and project management best practices
  • Experience in consulting, strategy development, and/or strategy execution; experience in consulting or IT is an asset
  • Excellent collaboration skills to build relationships across stakeholder groups
  • Agile mindset to manage in a constantly changing and ambiguous environment
  • Creative thinking and initiative in building and managing results-driven projects/programs
