Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, with at least six years of related experience.
  • Experience leading programs, services, or operational teams in a public sector, education, early learning and child care, human services, or workforce development.
  • Ability to manage service delivery in a complex and changing system, balancing policy, operations, and accountability.
  • Experience leading staff, setting priorities, managing workloads, and improving processes.
  • Experience with structured decision-making processes (application review, eligibility, classification, validation) and program criteria.
  • Strong communication with staff, partners, stakeholders, and service users, including when issues are sensitive or urgent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership for educator-facing services, including classification, professional learning validation, bursary administration, workforce supports, and related service channels.
  • Lead day-to-day service delivery to ensure timely, consistent, and accurate educator inquiries and service requests.
  • Oversee educator classification processes, including application review, service standards, quality assurance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Support validation of professional learning and training activities required for educator classification and workforce initiatives.
  • Provide oversight for bursary administration and related supports to strengthen the early childhood education workforce.
  • Support educator-facing digital services, including service readiness, user support, and data quality.
  • Monitor service volumes, risks, backlogs, and operational issues; recommend actions to improve service delivery and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, tools, templates, and service standards for consistent educator services.
  • Work with internal partners and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues and coordinate service delivery.
  • Provide leadership to staff through coaching, workload management, performance support, and clear priorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, reports, and recommendations for the Director and senior leaders.
  • Support workforce development by contributing operational advice and service data.
  • Promote a respectful, service-oriented and accountable work environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field
