In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. The position inherently involves continuous quality and safety improvements.

The Manager, Contracts and Performance, reporting to the Director, oversees all aspects of contract management for multi-million dollar contracts across the program portfolio on Vancouver Island. This role develops, monitors, and recommends mitigation strategies for variances in service delivery and funding for approximately 45 contracted service partners.

This position provides leadership in delivering the program, focusing on coordinating and integrating contracted services across the Island. It involves leading or participating in contract management projects, proposing new initiatives, liaising with other programs, and managing stakeholder engagement, communication, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience: A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in a relevant discipline. At least seven years of relevant experience, including management experience, preferably in long-term or primary care. Formal project management training is an asset.
