Description

Inspirational, innovative and entrepreneurial - this is how we describe our empowered teams. Combine your passion with purpose and join a culture that is thriving in the face of change.

Make an impact with our Executive Search & Recruitment team as a Manager. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with clients to identify, attract and assess executive, senior leadership and professional talent while managing search engagements from business development and project initiation through successful placement.

Working with Partner oversight and supported by Consultants and Analysts, you will balance business development, client relationship management and hands-on search execution. You will lead multiple search engagements, provide guidance to project teams, build relationships with candidates and clients, and contribute to the continued growth of MNP's Executive Search & Recruitment practice.

MNP is proudly Canadian. Providing business strategies and solutions, we are a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead executive, senior leadership and professional recruitment engagements from project initiation through successful placement

  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's organization, culture, strategic priorities and talent requirements to establish recruitment and candidate assessment criteria

  • Lead client kick-off meetings, stakeholder consultations and other discovery activities to inform position profiles, search strategies and candidate requirements

  • Develop position profiles, search strategies, candidate assessment criteria and other client-facing search materials

  • Lead candidate identification and sourcing strategies, including market mapping, targeted research, direct outreach, referrals, professional networks and digital sourcing platforms

  • Work collaboratively with Consultants and Analysts who support candidate research, outreach and preliminary screening, while remaining actively involved in sourcing and candidate development

  • Conduct in-depth candidate interviews and assessments, evaluating candidates against the experience, leadership capabilities, competencies and organizational requirements established for each engagement

  • Prepare and present candidate recommendations, longlists, shortlists, candidate profiles and other decision-making materials to clients and Search Committees

  • Facilitate client and Search Committee meetings throughout the recruitment and selection process, providing market insight, candidate perspectives and practical recruitment advice

  • Support and advise clients throughout finalist selection, reference checking, offer development and negotiation

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with candidates and clients while delivering a professional and responsive candidate and client experience

  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements, including project planning, timelines, scheduling and engagement financials such as budgets, WIP, billing, collections and variance recognition

  • Actively contribute to business and practice development by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, building referral networks and generating new Executive Search & Recruitment engagements

  • Lead and contribute to proposals, presentations, pitches and other business development activities for prospective and existing clients

  • Develop and maintain an active network within the business community and relevant industries and sectors to strengthen MNP's market presence and access to executive and professional talent

  • Collaborate across MNP to leverage the firm's national relationships, sector expertise and professional networks in support of client development and candidate identification

  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and quality review to Consultants and Analysts supporting search engagements

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, commerce or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered

  • 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in executive search, recruitment, talent acquisition or a related field, ideally within a professional services, search firm, agency or complex corporate environment

  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment processes and developing trusted relationships with hiring leaders, executives and other senior stakeholders

  • Strong candidate interviewing and assessment capabilities, with the ability to evaluate experience, leadership capabilities and organizational alignment

  • Demonstrated ability to develop candidate sourcing strategies and identify and engage passive talent through direct outreach, professional networks, referrals and digital sourcing tools

  • Experience in business development, client relationship management and/or account development, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to the generation of new business

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the confidence to lead client meetings and advise senior leaders, executives, Boards and Search Committees

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches, competing priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to develop high-quality position profiles, candidate reports, proposals, presentations and other client deliverables

  • Strong relationship-building, judgment, discretion and communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
