Description

Inspirational, innovative and entrepreneurial – that’s how we describe our empowered teams. At MNP, you’ll combine passion with purpose and join a culture that thrives in the face of change.

As a Senior Consultant with MNP, you are a results-driven operational advisor who implements meaningful, lasting changes across heavy operations industries focusing on primarily five industries: Service Operational Businesses, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Construction, Warehousing & Distribution. While demonstrated depth in one or more of these industries is strongly preferred, this role is designed for consultants eager to build broader cross‑functional expertise through hands‑on engagements, coaching, and internal training. We are looking for a business advisor to advise ownership and leaders on profitability improvement, revenue growth and leadership. You understand how core business functions such as Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Sales and Procurement interact to drive performance, and you act on that understanding to deliver bottom‑line results. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who leads with credibility, owns their engagements end to end, and measures success by the real‑world results they leave behind.

MNP is a proudly Canadian, leading national accounting, tax, and business advisory firm. Entrepreneurial to our core, our professionals help mid‑market organizations transform challenges into opportunities and drive sustainable performance improvements.

Responsibilities

Engagement Leadership

  • Lead small to mid-size engagements as the primary client contact, owning delivery, priorities, and measurable monthly outcomes
  • Own and drive workstreams on medium-term implementations (3–6 months) and large-scale transformations (6 months to 1+ year) from initiation through close
  • Translate objectives into structured workplans, accountable timelines, and clear deliverables and hold clients and project teams accountable

Operational Implementation & Process Improvement

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of operational improvements from process redesign through execution, adoption, and verified results
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full operational value chain from Estimating, Sales Order Management, or Contract Award through core functions such as Production Planning, Project Controls, Procurement, and Fulfillment into Financials. Then taking the understanding and drive process improvements for the organization
  • Roll out controls and visibility systems connecting operational execution levers to cost, hours, yield, throughput, inventory system improvements
  • Engage across client contexts: scaling organizations, financial recovery situations, and businesses driving efficiency and operational productivity

Project Management

  • Implement operational and financial improvements
  • Build and deploy Excel-based operational tools and Power BI reporting that consolidates data from multiple systems into actionable management reporting
  • Lead vendor coordination, holding providers accountable through selection, configuration, implementation and go-live

Change Management & Organizational Transformation

  • Lead change from design through full adoption, implementing the people, process, and communication changes that make improvements stick
  • Drive adoption actively at all levels, maintaining momentum when resistance is high, priorities shift, or the organization is under stress

Client Relationship Management

  • Build trusted relationships with owner-operators and senior leadership, positioning yourself as an advisor who delivers, not just recommend
  • Navigate ambiguity confidently, framing clear options and guiding clients through decisions that are often without precedent in their organization

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a consulting or advisory role, ideally within management consulting, performance improvement, or operational excellence environments
  • Strong functional expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Manufacturing / Operations
    • Sales and Commercial Effectiveness
    • Logistics and Distribution
    • Finance and Management Reporting
    • Supply Chain and Inventory Management
    • Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP
  • Working knowledge of how core business functions integrate across the organization; experience supporting cross-functional initiatives is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, operations management, or a related field (master’s degree considered an asset)
  • Proven ability to synthesize data, develop clear insights, and communicate recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders
  • Strong project execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership audiences
  • Comfortable working at client sites and in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments
  • Flexibility to work at client sites on a project basis, primarily within Ontario, with occasional travel across Canada as required
  • Ability to travel to client locations that may not be accessible by public transit
