Reporting to the Director Accreditation and Customer Service, this position leads the specialist compliance function to deal with complex issues relating to the regulatory requirements of applicants for admission as an Australian lawyer and legal practitioners. The position is responsible for dealing with higher level regulatory issues, including the complaints process and triaging of matters, professional indemnity insurance obligations, the accreditation of academic institutions providing tertiary education, practical legal training, and continuous professional development, freedom of information and internal review requests. The position works with the Accreditation and Customer Service leadership team to develop and improve the delivery of the Board’s customer service function. It participates in the development of capacity in the customer service team to ensure a high level of knowledge of the regulatory functions and contributes to the strategic development and management of the team and the Board.
