Job summary

Rogers Bank in Calgary, AB seeks a strategic and analytical leader to guide collections, credit risk, and portfolio performance. You will leverage data, technology, and customer insights to drive recoveries and improve outcomes in a regulated environment.

You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, modernize processes with automation and AI, and partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Finance, and Operations to deliver value. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, financial services, or customer operations, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collections strategies, consumer lending products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and data-driven insights to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Experience leading transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with third-party collections partners and support vendor performance and strategy.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader with experience in collections, credit risk, or financial services who can leverage data, technology, and customer insights to drive portfolio performance. You’ll bring a strong understanding of collections strategies within a regulated environment, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to influence stakeholders while leading innovative solutions that enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, financial services, or customer operations, including leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of collections strategies, consumer lending products, and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and data-driven insights to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Experience leading transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and analytics tools such as SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications, or managing third-party collections agencies is considered an asset.
