Job summary

Bruyère Health is seeking a Manager, Clinical Operations After Hours to lead nursing teams during after-hours shifts across multiple sites in Eastern Ontario. You will promote quality care and adherence to best practices while coordinating with site administration and the Nursing Director.

The role requires an RN or Diploma in Nursing with registration in Ontario, 3+ years supervisory nursing experience, and 5+ years clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing.
  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Responsibilities

  • Promote quality care and utilization of best practices; apply clinical knowledge and leadership.
  • Represent clinical and site administration during silent hours and ensure quality care.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple sites as needed.

POSITION TYPE : Permanent, Part-time, Day/Night, 30 hours / pay period, 0.4 FTE (shift hours varies)
SALARY SCALE : $55.833 to $65.021 per hour
CLOSING DATE : 2026 - 08 - 28*

What would my role be?

Reporting to the Director, Nursing Professional Practice, you will use clinical knowledge, experience and leadership skills to promote quality care and utilization of best practices. You will represent clinical and site administration during silent hours and focus on the facilitation and provision of quality care consistent with the organization’s current mission, values, policies and procedures, best practices, professional standards and legislations. Finally, you will need to be flexible to work at multiple sites, as needed.

Required :
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with relevant undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing.Wait check: ""?? "Minimum of five..." correct.
  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Preferred :
  • Certification in gerontology, palliative care or rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of and/or relevant experience in the areas of dialysis, ventilator.
  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Capable of working under stress in a constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles / presentation skills
  • Able to manage Human Resources
  • CPR/AED training (reflect policy BCLS)
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a team member through collaboration, respect and effective communication
  • Demonstrated effective management of resources consistent with organizational, programs and team goals
  • Demonstrated effectiveness promoting compliance with professional and ethical practices, accreditation standards, and applicable legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to establish courses of action for self and others to achieve optimal outcomes/results
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
