About The Role
The Manager, Capital Finance leads and oversees the financial management and reporting of SFU's capital projects and tangible capital assets. This position manages a team of professionals and supports staff accountable for budgeting and financial forecasting of capital projects, cost tracking, analysis and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, and the optimization of capital management processes. Additionally, this position delivers strategic insights and analyses to support organizational decision-making and long-term financial sustainability, while fostering a high-performing team and cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or a relevant field, with a professional accounting designation (CPA), with ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience and five years of supervisory experience, preferably having led a shared services function in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
