The Opportunity

The Manager, Calendar Planning is a full-time role reporting to the Director of Calendar Strategy & Menu Development. You will support the development and optimization of the annual marketing calendar to achieve business KPIs and deliver a strong marketing plan. This requires strategic thinking, process management, and collaboration across teams to evaluate business opportunities holistically, including working cross-functionally to understand product pipeline, business potential, operational considerations, assess performance, and communicate effectively with all partners.

Duties

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, key responsibilities include:

Strategy

  • Define the annual calendar planning process and engage key stakeholders across internal and franchise leadership.
  • Develop marketing calendar strategies to meet business and marketing KPIs in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Manage scenario planning and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timing alignment and plan optimization.

Communication

  • Create communication strategies to ensure alignment on priorities, lead planning meetings, and represent the marketing team in cross-functional groups.
  • Support marketing leadership and franchisee engagement through presentations and meetings.
  • Design processes to improve marketing planning efficiencies.

Marketing Measurement

  • Partner with various teams and external partners to measure marketing performance at both campaign and holistic levels.
  • Assist in preparing for quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing Strategy & Planning, Brand, or Digital Marketing in a demanding retail, financial, or QSR environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a strong understanding of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple teams and agency partners.
  • Strong analytical skills to differentiate between marketing and business KPIs.
  • Curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit, with initiative to experiment and report results, continually improving practices.
