Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking a Senior Manager to enable business initiatives and support the Private Banking COO team. You will coordinate across internal partners, craft executive materials, and articulate business strategy and benefits from product/process improvements.

You will translate complex information into concise messages for leadership, manage COO meetings, and help operationalize the business strategy while upholding risk and conduct standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Purpose

Supports the Senior Manager, Business Enablement and Private Banking COO team in advancing the overall value proposition across the business, by contributing to the alignment, coordination, consistency, and scalability of investments, and end-user experiences for assigned initiatives or workstreams.

The incumbent supports coordination across the Private Banking COO team and key stakeholders, and articulation of business vision, strategy and benefits resulting from advancements in products, processes, policies, systems, technology.

What you will be doing:

• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Supports the preparation of updates, recommendations, presentations, and other materials for leadership and key stakeholder discussions, articulating business vision, progress and focus areas
• Uses key messages, impact assessments, industry insights, and benefits to prepare executive materials that support the design, development, and delivery of projects. Translates complex information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate messaging, with a focus on stakeholder impact.
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal partners, including Products, Operations, Client Service and Support teams, Sales, support functions, and segment owners, to maintain visibility into upcoming initiatives requiring integration, communication, and change management support.
• Manages the COO team meetings and engagement activities, ensuring active participation by incorporating team feedback
• Coordinates activities and supports with identifying areas of growth or development, to operationalize the business strategy
• Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations within the role's areas of responsibility in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk.
