Job description

Our client, a top tier Investment Management firm, would like an energetic Branch Administrator to join their management team. The role is on-site, in their flagship branch in Calgary.

This leadership Role is strongly focussed on providing administrative and operational support to stellar Investment Advisor (IIROC) teams. Being the Branch Administrator includes : managing branch staff, supporting human resources functions such as recruitment and employee relations, liaising with internal departments, providing software and process related training, and managing the branch facilities and equipment. You are the hub of the network!

Qualifications :

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Canadian financial sector, IIROC preferred
  • Proven experience in a leadership role (Branch Administrator / team leader / Office Manager) in a medium to large branch in Financial Services
  • Excellent phone and e-mail etiquette, delivering high standards of customer service to internal and external clients / stakeholders
  • Preferred : Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH) Course completed, IR Licensed with IIROC but experience in a similar role will be considered.
  • Current knowledge of IIROC compliance issues published in internal bulletins
  • Solid knowledge of Investment Industry technology platforms and ability to provide basic support
  • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and maintain professionalism in a high pressure environment
  • Strong operational efficiency, organizational skills and ability to prioritize Ability to work under pressure
  • Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail
