The Opportunity:
Postmedia’s Audience team is looking for a Manager, Audiences to support the development of fresh and innovative audience segments with a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between publisher needs, sales strategies, and campaign execution, while being groomed into a Data Management Platform (DMP) expert.

You’ll split your time between building new audience segments and supporting sales efforts by bringing actionable audience insights to life. We’re looking for someone who understands how campaign management works, how audience segmentation powers media performance, and what publishers need to effectively deliver against advertiser expectations.

You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves—you’re a self-starter, comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be the go-to person connecting audience insights with business outcomes, always keeping the big picture in mind. If you love experimenting, thinking creatively, and translating ideas into impact, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, package, and activate high-performing audience segments tailored to advertiser needs.
  • Partner with Sales to support campaign planning and audience strategies that align with media objectives.
  • Champion the use of audience data in driving campaign performance, acting as a bridge between business goals and data capabilities.
  • Learn and eventually lead taxonomy development, maintenance, and DMP operations; hands-on-keyboard DMP admin experience is a plus but not required.
  • Stay current with DMP tools and features (e.g., Adobe Audience Manager, Permutive, Lotame), with training and mentorship available to grow expertise.
  • Test and validate existing and new audiences, translating data insights into clear business actions.
  • Evangelize the value of audience segments across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Analytics, and more.
  • Translate complex audience strategies into clear, compelling go-to-market stories for internal and external partners.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience working with consumer data, audience segmentation, and campaign/media planning—experience with publishers, media agencies, or digital advertisers strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem, including campaign management, media buying/selling dynamics, and how audiences drive performance.
  • Comfortable speaking the language of both publishers and advertisers.
  • Curious and eager to grow into a DMP expert; prior DMP hands-on experience is a bonus, but a foundational understanding of its role in audience management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the programmatic advertising landscape is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and partners and can lead meetings and business outcomes.
  • Previous experience in media, publishing, or digital environments is preferred.
