Manager, Attendance and Wellness- Professional Exempt (On-Site)
The Burnaby School District is on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish Nations of Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish.
The Burnaby School District is the fourth largest in BC. The District operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, including a range of district and provincial resource programs. The District supports and provides learning to 25,000 Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) students and to more than 6,000 adult learners through our established Burnaby Community & Continuing Education program. With more than 100 languages spoken in the homes of its students, the District is one of the most culturally diverse in Canada.

The District is seeking an experienced Manager of Attendance and Wellness to join its Human Resources Team. This position is regular full time (1.00 FTE) position. Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager – Attendance & Wellness plays a strategic leadership role in the development, implementation, and oversight of attendance management, disability support, and employee health and wellness programs across the district. This position is responsible for managing attendance programs, non-occupational leaves, guiding return-to-work processes, and promoting proactive wellness initiatives in alignment with organizational needs and legislative requirements. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, unions, healthcare providers, and external service partners to support employee attendance, return-to-work efforts, and overall well-being.
