Job Overview

Make an impact as a Manager with our Indigenous Services Assurance and Accounting team. Our diverse team works with over 270 Indigenous communities, groups, and organizations across Canada, dedicated to understanding their history, culture, and contributions. We invest heavily in serving their unique needs, providing expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals navigating a complex social, political, and economic landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagement teams in audits, compliance, tax engagements, budgeting, and financial transactions with Indigenous entities.
  • Provide technical expertise in audit and assurance through reports, client interactions, and management presentations.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business risks and delivering value to foster growth and relationships.
  • Oversee engagement planning, scheduling, project budgets, billing, and collections.
  • Ensure quality control and address issues related to clients’ financial reports and business operations.
  • Mentor and develop team members through goal-setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Enhance MNP’s profile through community involvement and strategic networking for business development.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • CPA designation.
  • Proven leadership, relationship-building, and management skills.
  • 4-6 years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, and practice development principles.
