Responsibilities

• Lead the dynamic planning, scheduling and execution of audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions with Indigenous communities and enterprises.
• Deliver your industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables.
• Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients’ needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop.
• Maintain quality control using your specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business, financial entries and reports.
• Create connections within the vibrant Indigenous community, developing business development opportunities and preparing compelling proposals to meet client needs.
• Mentor, motivate and inspire team members towards professional and personal growth through clear guidance, constructive feedback, and impactful performance reviews.
• Maintain flexibility to travel to engage with client in-person.

Skills and Experience

• CPA designation.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or enterprises an asset.
• Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles.
• Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.
