Job summary

Covenant Foundation seeks a Major Gifts Officer to manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating relationships to secure transformative gifts. You will collaborate with Covenant Foundation leadership and frontline teams to advance strategic fundraising priorities and deliver exceptional donor stewardship.

The role emphasizes strategic engagement, proposal development and superior donor communications to expand philanthropic investments in Covenant’s mission across Alberta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience in a non‑profit fundraising environment.
• Five+ years of major gifts fundraising experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills for donor materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advance a portfolio of mid‑level and major gift donors through all donor‑cycle stages.
• Develop and steward relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations and granting institutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, gift agreements and donor correspondence.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to advance fundraising priorities.
• Deliver stewardship plans and meaningful donor recognition.
