Hours: 77.50 FTE: 1.00
Shift: Days
Shift Times: 0800-1615
Union: AUPE GSS
Rate of Pay: $35.44 - $36.89
PCN: SSPPS-GG01

Date Competition Closes: April 30, 2025

The Opportunity

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Site Manager, provides leadership to the maintenance team, including prioritizing, assigning, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities at the sites in their group. Performs highly skilled and complex maintenance and repair duties to ensure the physical plant and systems function safely, efficiently, and effectively. Prepares scopes of work and liaises with external contractors and the Capital Projects team for site upgrades. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of a 5th class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency or Building Operator's A Certificate of Competency
  • A recognized trade would be an asset. Must possess a valid Alberta Driver's License
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years experience in physical plant operations, including preventative maintenance programs
  • Proven technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Prior experience with a computerized building management system is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required
  • Basic computer skills for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system
